FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Where does camp take place?

Tucson El Conquistador Hotel (Hilton), 10000 N Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ

2. What is included with camp fees?

The camp tuition is included with the $825 registration fee.  Hotel and food are not included are must be taken care of separately (hotel group code: WICC).  Students can eat at the hotel on their own or purchase a meal plan (menu online).

3. What is the Ye Olde Pueblo?

The Ye Olde Pueblo is a strong open tournament taking place at the same venue the weekend after camp (Friday - Sunday).  Playing in the event is optional.  Register online at www.events4chess.com

4. How are the groups determined?

There are several factors that go into determining group placement, including US Chess rating at the time of camp and peak rating.  The top group usually includes players rated above 2100 USCF.
